Update, Wednesday, 3:45 p.m.: The driver and SUV involved in and hit-and-run have been identified, according to Beaubien.

The investigation is ongoing and no further details were immediately available.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A 10-year-old girl riding her bicycle was seriously injured in hit-and-run crash Saturday afternoon in north Clarksville.

At about 1:30 p.m., the girl was riding in the area of Sikorsky Lane and Raven Road, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Scott Beaubien.

She was hit by a red SUV, which left the area, Beaubien said. The child’s father took her to the hospital, where she was reported to be in serious but stable condition.

Police searched the area of the Apache Way neighborhood, which is between Tiny Town Road and the state line. They did not find the vehicle.
