CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (ESPN CLARKSVILLE) – Local Clarksville athlete, 10-year-old Cade Deterding, has some impressive skills on the track.

He most recently participated and earned medals in his two events at the USATF Hershey National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships at Rock Chalk Park- University of Kansas in July.

Cade participated in the 39th Annual Queen City Road Race in May and placed 3rd overall in the race.

In March, Cade participated in the 6th Annual USO Ten Miler at Fort Campbell Destiny Park. He got 20th overall out of 225 runners.

Cade participated in the 2017 Hot Chocolate 15K on February 11, 2017 in Nashville, TN. He received 1st in the male age 14 and under category. He placed 23rd out of 654 total males and got 26th of 2,155 participants overall.

Cade got the official World Single Age Records, setting the 9-year-old world record.

Cade participated in the Knoxville Youth Athletics (KYA) Tennessee State Elementary Cross Country Championships on October 22, 2016 at Victor Ashe Park in Knoxville, TN. He got 5th in the State Championship with a 5:40.45 for the mile.
