CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A man was killed in a shooting at an apartment complex on Dover Road just west of Clarksville.
At about 1 a.m. Wednesday, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to the shooting at the Post Edge Apartments, 1387 Dover Road, according to a press release from MCSO Lt. Bishop Delaney.
Inside one of the apartments, deputies found a man who had been shot. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Delaney said.
An unidentified male suspect fled prior to deputies’ arrival. Law enforcement has established a perimeter in the area and was actively searching for the suspect early Wednesday morning. “At this time, the incident is believed to be isolated; however, out of an abundance of caution, residents and members of the community are urged to remain vigilant,” Delaney said.
Anyone who observes suspicious activity in the area is asked to immediately call 911.
