CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A woman was killed and a man was seriously injured in a shooting in north Clarksville Monday night.
At about 5 p.m., Clarksville Police conducted a welfare check at a home in the 400 block of Ringgold Road, according to police spokesman Scott Beaubien.
Officers found a man and woman with gunshot wounds. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and the man was flown by LifeFlight helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
This is an ongoing investigation and no further information has been released.
Detectives believe this is an isolated incident and that there is no threat to the public, Beaubien said.
