West Creek High student-athlete Leilyn Mercado has been nominated as the Tennessee Titans female representative for the Latino Excellence in Youth Football award. She is one of just 32 female student athletes in the nation being recognized.
The Kenwood Knights travelled to Northeast High School for a rivalry matchup on Exit one with the Eagles. While Kenwood battled all night, the Eagles used energy and communication to sweep the Knights, winning three sets to none.

The Rossview High Hawks visited the Coyote Den at West Creek High School for a region 7-6A matchup on Friday, Sept. 6. Despite a strong first half from the Coyotes, Rossview scored 17 straight points in the second half to win, 31-7, moving to 3-0 on the year and 1-0 in the region.
The Eagles traveled to Exit 11 for a district matchup with the Wildcats from Clarksville High. While Northeast battled and had some strong individual performances, Clarksville dominated, and won in straight sets, 3-0.

The Northwest Vikings hosted the White House-Heritage Patriots on a pretty Tuesday night at Northwest High School. The Vikings got out to a strong start, and despite a comeback attempt from Heritage, Northwest held them off, claiming a key home victory 2-1.
