The Clarksville High School baseball team was awarded the Class 4A Field of the Year Award yesterday afternoon by the Tennessee Baseball Coaches Assocation. When asked about the achievement, CHS head baseball coach Brian Hetland told Clarksville Now the Wildcat community made this recognition possible.

The Clarksville High Wildcats hosted the Rossview Hawks for a rivalry showdown in front of a sold-out William Workman Gymnasium. It was close early on, however, the Wildcat’s effort and grit, and 17 points from Sheldon Huber, powered them past the Hawks for a 61-46 victory.

The Clarksville Academy Lady Cougars hosted the Northeast Eagles on Proctor Court at Clarksville Academy on Thursday night. Clarksville Academy senior Anna Hellums made the most of her senior night, as she scored 23 points and powered the Cougars to a 61-40 win.
