James Ferebee became the third CMCSS teacher to die just this month, and the second at Kenwood Middle School in less than two weeks.
On day five of the Kenneth Hudspeth trial, the 50-year-old was found guilty of second-degree murder, first-degree murder in perpetration of a crime and two counts of aggravated rape in the death of 23-year-old Crista Bramlitt in 1996.
The threat has been met with an increased presence of law enforcement at the school on Friday.
Hudspeth testified that he lied during that April 2019 interview about having sex with her and not remembering events on the night of Bramlitt’s death.
The cold case was reopened in 2019 with the discovery of new DNA evidence, and 50-year-old Kenneth Hudspeth of Arizona was a match.
Gregory Tramel, 51, was a 6th grade Social Studies teacher and is the second CMCSS teacher to die over the last month.
A former teacher at Northeast High School in Clarksville was arrested Thursday and charged with sex crimes against a minor.
The mask requirement for students and employees applies indoors in CMCSS facilities when physical distancing is not possible.
The shooting occurred in the area of Tompkins Lane and Paradise Hill Road around 6 p.m. on Sept. 10.
Frank Gilmore Jr. was last seen in the area of Cameo Court in Woodlawn around Aug. 30.
