The extra patrols will be in place between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. throughout the city.
The change shifts one hour of daylight to the morning from the evening.
Collection boxes will be on each bus on Nov. 3, 10, 17 and 24, and riders who give three canned goods will receive a free ride.
