Baseball: Early opportunities pass Govs by in loss to Bears

Austin Peay State University’s baseball team saw a pair of early scoring opportunities go begging in a 4-1 loss to Missouri State, Thursday afternoon, in the opening day of the SAF Dirt Classic on Joe Maynard Field at Raymond C. Hand Park.

Three matches in three days on deck for the Governors

Having won seven-straight matches, Austin Peay State University women’s tennis will put their winning streak to the test with a 4 p.m., Friday match against Louisville at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. After taking on the Cardinals on the road, the Governors will return home for an 11 a.m., Saturday match against North Alabama and a 12 p.m., Sunday match against Middle Tennessee.

Six score in double-figures, as Govs post third-straight OVC win

For the second time this season, Austin Peay State University women’s basketball led wire-to-wire in an Education Day game; with six players scoring in double-figures, the Governors rolled to a 79-62 win over SIU Edwardsville, Thursday at the Vadalabene Center, as the Govs posted their third-straight win in Ohio Valley Conference play.
