CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville Sunset Rotary presented the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) Organization with over 60 filled backpacks at their August 6 meeting.
“On behalf of the kids, I would like to express sincere appreciation for the donating backpacks full of school supplies for the start of the new school year,” said Amy Carroll, Executive Director of BBBS.
Jeff Groves, owner of Dairy Queen, sponsored the event and provided food for those who attended. “I have known several people who have been a Big Sister/Brother to some great kids, and I got a chance to see how it really changed their lives. Both the kids and the adults really grew during their time together,” he said. “I also love making kids and families smile at the DQ, so it is a win/win for me.”
