CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Visit Clarksville and Ken Freeman Outdoor Promotions welcome the Bass Pro Shop’s Big Cat Quest tournament to McGregor Park Saturday, August 8.
The public is invited to help reel in the excitement as anglers cast into the Cumberland River in search of the largest catfish.
Weigh-in will take place at McGregor Park at 3:00 p.m. A comprehensive weigh-in of the best five fish will provide an overall best weight and will decide the winner.
The courtesy docks at McGregor Park will be closed to the public for the entirety of the tournament.
The Bass Pro Shops Big Cat Quest is an annual catfish tournament with intense competition and big prizes. The qualifying tournaments take place over several months, in different cities, and end with a championship event in the fall that is typically televised for a national audience.
More than 100 accomplished tournament anglers from throughout the eastern United States are expected to compete on Saturday. The event is expected to draw a record number of fishermen to the Cumberland River.
All active duty military with an ID and wounded warriors are welcome to register and fish for free alongside a paid partner.
