MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. – The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a severe thunderstorm watch that affects multiple counties in Middle Tennessee, including Montgomery.

The watch will last through 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Showers and thunderstorms aided by humidity and a heat index of 100 to 105 degrees will likely occur throughout the evening hours.

If the storms become severe, heavy rainfall could cause localized flooding.

Large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes are possible during this kind of severe weather.
