There were plenty of smiles, hugs and kisses to go around as 190 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) soldiers were welcomed home Tuesday, April 14. The soldiers came home from their deployment to West Africa supporting Operation United Assistance in the fight against the Ebola pandemic.

One of the returning soldiers was the 101st Deputy Commanding General for Support, Brigadier General Frank W. Tate. The soldiers came home in two flights and had recently completed their 21-day controlled monitoring at Fort Bliss Texas. Around 180 soldiers with the 1st Brigade Combat Team are scheduled to return from Afghanistan Thursday, April 16.
