Kay Wicks, age 79, of Nashville passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 at her residence.

Born Jeaunita Kathleen Logsdon April 5, 1935 in Christian County, KY, she is the daughter of the late Abraham Lincoln Logsdon and Mary Lurlyene Smith Logsdon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Wicks; and a brother, Royce Conwell Logsdon.

Mrs. Wicks was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She was an excellent seamstress and a fine southern cook, known for her Thanksgiving cornbread dressing, chocolate pie, and coconut cake.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24. at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Dr. Duane Logsdon officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgetop Cemetery in Crofton, KY. Visitation will be from noon until the hour of service on Tuesday, February 24 at the funeral home.

Kay is survived by her son, Arthur Wicks of Nashville; daughter, Bobbi K. (Ben) Humphreys of Nashville; brother, Charles Waddell (Yvonne) Logsdon of Jeffersonville, GA; sister, Wilda (Taylor) Wright of Hopkinsville, KY; two nephews, Walter (Jackie) Logan and Duane (Jennifer) Logsdon; niece, Janie (Michael) Richardson; several nieces and nephews by marriage; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
