CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Montgomery County Mayor’s Office is pleased to announce that Jeanette Farrell has been selected as the new Animal Control director.

Jeanette has a 24 year history in animal welfare including past positions as an animal control officer and Humane Society Executive Director. She holds an associate’s degree from Northern Virginia Community College, and has extensive training in animal rescue, animals in disasters and cruelty investigations.

Farrell states, “I am excited and eager to lead Montgomery County Animal Control as well as honored by the opportunity to serve Montgomery County’s community, people and animals by implementing new and innovative programs for the benefit of the animals in the area.”

County Mayor Jim Durrett adds, “Jeanette has great ideas and a clear vision of where she wants to take Animal Control. I’m confident that she can provide great leadership to the department and I look forward to sharing in her success.”

Farrell will begin her role as director of Animal Control and Adoption Services on February 17.
