CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Food Initiative in Clarksville, an organization that works to grow healthy food, empower lives and help build the community is starting off the New Year offering opportunities for young people to be a part of their 2015 Summer Youth Program.
The Food Initiative is looking for students currently in the 9th, 10th or 11th grade, who attend Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools, who are home schooled in Montgomery County or are a student at Fort Campbell High School.
They are hiring 20 students to work four weeks in June and another 20 students to work four weeks in July. Applications are now being taken for the Summer Youth Program and the application deadline is March 6.
Also going on now is sign up for the 2015 summer Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) share with The Food Initiative. It runs from May through October and members receive a half-bushel of produce each week with all types of variety as the seasons change.
