CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A suspect was charged with aggravated burglary and aggravated assault after an incident at a Hodges Road residence on January 9.
A woman claimed David Bryant, 52, broke into her home, left, returned with weapons, and then threatened to kill her, according to Investigator Geoffrey Blanchard. The man also fired shots into the air and into the ground near the victim.
The victim and a friend fled to another residence, where Bryant allegedly came after the her again. The victim then called 911. When deputies arrived, they secured the victims to be sure of their safety.
After discovering that Bryant was nowhere to be seen, Deputy Jacob Kent and K9 Titan began to track him. After a thorough search of the area, they found Bryant lying face down in a wooded area with a rifle and a shotgun. They arrested him without incident.
Bryant is currently being booked into the Montgomery County Jail, and also had previous warrants on file.
