Harvey Walter Meeks, age 86, of Clarksville, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014 at St. Thomas Hospital West, in Nashville.
Harvey was born July 4, 1928, in Humboldt, TN, to the late Lloyd Meeks and Rachel Simmons Meeks. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Ann Meeks; and brother, William Meeks.
Mr. Meeks was a purchaser for Trane Company and a US Army veteran. He was a life-long member of First Baptist Church and was an avid University of Tennessee and Atlanta Braves fan.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 22, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Pastor Larry Riley and Dr. John David Laida officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 21, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Monday, December 22 at the funeral home.
Harvey is survived by his daughter, Claudia (George) Tate of Nashville; and niece, Randy Meeks.
