CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Genesis Teen Learning Center of Montgomery County has been selected to participate in the 2014 Giving on the Cumberland sponsored by Clarksville Parks and Recreation.
We are inviting the public to go by McGregor Park Museum and select a “request ornament” from our tree so that we can be a blessing to the students we serve.
The Teen Learning Center is a state accredited Category I school which provides an opportunity for students who are at risk of going into state custody to receive a quality education, improve their social skills, and complete high school with a regular education diploma or HiSET diploma.
The age of our target population is 14-18 and we serve the needs of 24 students on any given day.
Students who attend the center are not asked to pay for anything. All supplies and transportation are free. Our request items will help in providing not only the essential needs of the program but some of the individual needs of our students as well.
For further information regarding our program and the services we provide, contact Pamela Byrd, Program Manager, at 931-647-8474 or stop by McGregor Park Museum December 19 & 20 between 6-8 p.m., where a representative from the program will be there to answer any additional questions or inquiries.
