Shots fired on Dale Terrace; suspect at large

No injuries were reported and schools in the north Clarksville area were temporarily placed on lockdown.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville police are searching for a suspect after a receiving a call of shots fired in the 200 block of Dale Terrace Wednesday around 8:40 a.m.

Minglewood Elementary, New Providence Middle, and Northwest High were on a modified lockdown as a precaution but reopened around 10:15 a.m., according to Elise Shelton with CMCSS.

Officer Natalie Hall with the Clarksville Police Department said the bullets struck a home and a vehicle but no one was injured.

The suspect is described as a black male with a thin build wearing a blue stocking hat and blue jeans.

He was still at large as of 10:25 a.m.
