Dorothy Hazel Bragger Young, age 75, of Clarksville, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Gateway Medical Center.

Dorothy was born in Montreal, Canada, to the late Percy Charles Bragger and Anne Johnstone Bragger Turnbull. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Carl Young; one sister, Joanne Schreiber; and one grandson, Joshua Joseph Greenbaum.

Dorothy loved the Lord and was a faithful and dedicated member of Bible Baptist Church. She loved to sing and was a member of several choirs, of which her tenure spanned many years. Mrs. Young was a loving and giving mother and grandmother with an extraordinary sense of humor. Dorothy was also a gifted artist.

Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 4 at Bible Baptist Church, with Pastor Brian Baggett officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, and from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday at the church.

Dorothy is survived by son, Shawn (Carla) Young of Clarksville; daughter, Heidi Greenbaum of Clarksville; brother, Jim (Sarah) Bragger of Warren, OH; one sister, Miki (Jim) Keenan of Louisville, KY; two grandchildren, Jeremy (Evette) Greenbaum and Carla Anne Greenbaum; and great-grandson, Jayden Gonzalez.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bible Baptist Church Mission Fund, 3102 Prospect Circle, Clarksville, TN 37043.
