George Brooks, age 73 of Clarksville , went to be with the Lord Saturday , November 15, 2014 at Gateway Medical Center.
Visitation will be from noon until 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Foston Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Greenhill Church with Elder Gwen Duvall, officiating. Burial Riverview Cemetery.
He was born December 30, 1940 to the late George Walker Brooks and Marie Cannon. He was a graduate of Burt High School Class of 1959.
He is preceded in death by his loving son Mark Sidney Brooks and brohter Bobby Brooks and sister Nancy Brenda Brooks.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Jeanette Polite Brooks; children, Carol Shantell Brooks, Clarksville, TN, Kimberly Chevone Brooks, Greenfield, CA, Nancy Kwan Brooks, Clarksville, TN, Vincent Deanglo Brooks, Mountainhome, ID, Barbara Grooks- Ogan, San Antonio, TX, John Fritzgerald Brooks, Perris, CA and George Belafonte Brooks, Hopkinsville, KY; 9 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; sisters, Olivia Brooks – Hardy, Clarksville, TN, Savannah Hill, Cincinnati, OH and Bridget Melson, Buffalo, NY and brother James Brooks, Cincinnati, OH and a host family and friends.
