NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Some school districts have delayed or canceled classes due to a winter weather advisory issued for portions of Middle Tennessee.

The National Weather Service says a mix of snow and sleet are expected to hit much of the mid-state Monday morning. The advisory remains in effect until 10 a.m.

Northern counties can expect accumulations of snow and sleet to reach about an inch. A dusting is possible in southern areas. Snow showers along the Cumberland Plateau could last through the evening hours.

After the snow moves through, temperatures are expected to drop into the 20s.
