NEW YORK (AP) — New York Mayor Bill de Blasio is reassuring New Yorkers that they are not at risk because of the city’s first case of Ebola.
The patient is an emergency room doctor who had traveled to West Africa. Dr. Craig Spencer was helping to treat Ebola patients in Guinea as part of Doctors Without Borders.
City officials say “clear and strong” protocols have been followed. Spencer is being treated at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan.
