CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The 19th Judicial District Drug Task Force is partnering with the Drug Enforcement Agency to collect unused medications and dispose of them properly.

Agents will be stationed at Walgreens, 1954 Madison Street in Clarksville to collect the medications on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“We hope that people who have unused prescription drugs will use this opportunity to dispose of those items properly,” said Jamie Dexter, Public Information Officer for the 19th JDDTF. “Flushing them down the toilet or throwing them out can be harmful to the environment, and keeping narcotics in your home can be attractive to criminals.”
