CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Encompass Health, the largest owner and operator of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals in the United States, is looking to open a location near Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital.

The City Council will consider a rezoning request this week from Virginia James and the Jason Feltner Foundation for the rezoning of 6 acres on the south side of Athletic Avenue at the southeast corner of Athletic and Dunlop Lane. The request is to rezone from C3 to C2. Regional Planning Commission staff recommend approval, and the RPC board unanimously approved as well.

The site would be part of the larger Freedom Farms development, and it is across Ted Crozier Boulevard from VCH.
