CLARKSVILLE, TN – Military life has a way of making “home” a moving target. For military spouses, a new duty station can mean starting over—new friends, new schools, new jobs, and a new community. The Fort Campbell Spouses’ Club (FCSC) believes military spouses shouldn’t have to build that community alone.

FCSC is a completely volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit, social, and charitable organization dedicated to improving the lives of military families and the communities surrounding Fort Campbell. Membership is open to local spouses of Active Duty, National Guard, Reserve and retired service members, as well as Gold Star spouses.

While friendship and connection are at the heart of FCSC, members also turn that connection into an opportunity to give back. Last year alone, the club awarded approximately $44,000 in scholarships to military-connected students and spouses. Much of FCSC’s fundraising takes place at its annual Very Important Charity Event, or VICE—a gala-style evening each spring featuring entertainment, auctions and plenty of fun, all in support of the club’s charitable mission. Planning is already underway for the next VICE in March, with more details coming soon.

Giving back also happens throughout the year. On October 17, from 10 a.m. to noon, members and their families will gather at Honeysuckle Hill Farm for fall fun while collecting donations for the FUEL program, which helps provide food to local students during weekends and school breaks. On October 29 from 6-8 p.m., members can enjoy a Paint & Sip at the Book & Bottle Shop in Hopkinsville for $25. November’s event will continue the club’s commitment to service by supporting YAIPAK and its work with homeless veterans. Members can also connect through monthly Bunco, volunteer opportunities, and other social gatherings.

Annual membership is $25, but local military spouses are invited to attend one FCSC event for free before deciding if membership is right for you. Whether you are new to Fort Campbell or have called the area home for years, FCSC is a place to find people who understand military life, have some fun, and do a lot of good along the way.
