Update, 1:24 p.m.: The Clarksville Police Department has identified the pedestrian that was hit and killed by a car on Cumberland Drive Saturday night as a 41-year-old Clarksville man.
According to CPD spokesperson Scott Beaubien, police identified the pedestrian as 41-year-old David Moten of Clarksville and next of kin has been notified. Anyone with information is asked to contact FACT Investigator Frank at (931) 648-0656, ext. 5518.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Police Department is investigating the death of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle on Cumberland Drive late Saturday night.
On Saturday, Oct. 3, at approximately 11:15 p.m., Clarksville Police responded to Cumberland Drive near Manning Heights regarding a male lying in the roadway, said CPD spokesperson Scott Beaubien.
“The pedestrian had been lying in the roadway and was struck by a vehicle. The driver remained at the scene and was not impaired,” said Beaubien. The pedestrian was transported to Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
This is an ongoing investigation, said Beaubien, and anyone with information is asked to contact FACT Investigator Gadberry at (931) 648-0656, ext. 5221.
