CLARKSVILLE, TN – The movie “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” hits theatres at noon Thursday, July 30, and Phoenix Theatres Governor’s Square Mall will keep the doors open all afternoon and all night long, catering to those who miss out on the first showing and cannot wait another minute to see this epic.
“Phoenix Theatres Governor’s Square Mall, due to the national groundswell of demand for this film and the excitement it’s generated, we have decided to start at 12 p.m. Thursday, July 30, and will keep it playing – non-stop – straight through the night, early morning hours and on into the normal rotation of showtimes on Friday for over 36 hours of non-stop Spidey action,” said Phoenix Theatres President Cory Jacobson. “It was actually the employees who came to us, so enthusiastic about this film that they wanted to run all night with it. Our staff is really excited about Spider-Man, and for the cause – Jacobson knows of no other movie theatre in Tennessee planning to show the film for over 36 hours and all night long.
“There are a lot of behind-the-scenes preparation going on,” said Jordan Hohman, senior vice president of Project Development. “It is a big event film that we are trying our very best to present in the way Destin Daniel Cretton (the film’s director) would want it presented, at the highest quality level, so we’re running around double-checking projectors, sound systems and all the other equipment to make sure everything is up to the highest specifications.
“Phoenix Theatres Governor’s Square Mall’s theatres offer 100 percent fully reclining heated seats in every one of the 10 auditoriums, allowing the customer to kick back, relax and recline and get cozy during a film, and the only theatres in the area to feature Dolby Atmos digital sound technology to hear every detail in spatial audio,” said Hohman.
Tickets may be purchased in advance at Phoenix Theatres Governor’s Square Mall’s box office or online at Phoenixmovies.net.
