CLARKSVILLE, TN – The City of Clarksville Neighborhood & Community Services Department invites contractors, lenders, developers, faith leaders, nonprofit organizations, and other community partners to participate in the upcoming Faith-Based Housing Cohort Site Visit on Wednesday, July 8, hosted by the Faith-Based Housing Initiative Organization.
The free event will be held at the Clarksville Association of Realtor’s Office and is designed to bring together organizations and individuals who are interested in working collaboratively to expand attainable housing opportunities in Clarksville through partnerships with the faith community.
Participants may register for one of two sessions based on their interests and availability:
- Morning Session – Faith-Based Housing Development Workshop, 9-10:30 a.m.
Designed for contractors, subcontractors, lenders, developers, and housing professionals, this session will explore financing strategies, development partnerships, available resources, and opportunities to support faith-based housing projects.
- Afternoon Session – Faith-Based Housing Conversation, 12-1:30 p.m.
Designed for pastors, congregational leaders, faith-based organizations, nonprofits, and interested agencies, this session will focus on successful housing models, partnership opportunities, community needs, and collaborative next steps for creating housing solutions.
Attendance is free, but registration is required to assist with planning for meals and event logistics. Those interested in participating are encouraged to register as soon as possible to reserve their preferred session. The City also welcomes businesses, organizations, and community partners who wish to financially support the initiative. The July 8 event is intended as a working session for organizations and professionals who want to play an active role in developing faith-based housing initiatives. Community members who are interested in following the progress of the program, but who do not plan to participate directly in the cohort, will have future opportunities to learn about the initiative through public updates as the work progresses.
