Update, June 18, 3:40 p.m.: The Clarksville Police Department has continued its investigation into the vehicle versus motorcycle crash that occurred on June 17. Over the course of the investigation, it was determined that the white Dodge Ram initially believed to be involved was not a contact vehicle and did not strike the motorcyclist, said Beaubien.

“The motorcyclist remains hospitalized in stable condition. Although he sustained injuries in the crash, they are not believed to be life-threatening. The investigation remains ongoing,” he said.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Police Department is currently investigating a vehicle versus motorcycle crash that occurred at around 5:05 p.m., at the intersection of College Street and Drane Street.

CPD spokesperson Scott Beaubien said according to witnesses, a white Dodge Ram struck the motorcyclist and left the scene before officers arrived.

“Investigators are actively working to identify the vehicle and driver involved. The motorcyclist was conscious and speaking with first responders before being transported to Vanderbilt Clarksville for treatment,” said Beaubien.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation. Anyone with information regarding the white Dodge Ram involved in the crash is asked to call 911 and request to speak with an officer.

While one southbound lane has been reopened, law enforcement is still processing the scene.
