CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A special called Clarksville City Council meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 16, which comes after the council disapproved the initial first reading of the FY 2026-27 budget last Thursday.
Following the amendments that were approved Thursday, the City Council was able to lower the proposed property tax rate to $1.16 instead of $1.23. However, in the end, the council voted down the proposed budget 2-11.
The special session meeting for Tuesday has been scheduled for 4:30 p.m. at City Council chambers.
