CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A 24-year-old woman was assaulted and raped at Dunbar Cave State Park early Tuesday morning in Clarksville.
According to a police report, the victim was sitting in her vehicle around 2:23 a.m. She told police she had been sitting there for a few hours to think.
A man approached her vehicle and asked for a light, and as she reached for her lighter she said the man grabbed her by the hair and pulled her out of the vehicle.
The suspect blindfolded the woman and dragged her down a trail where he forcibly raped her. The victim said the suspect then pointed a weapon and told her to run or he would kill her.
The victim ran back to her vehicle and left the area and was transported to Gateway Medical Center after calling police. She said she did not know the suspect. She described him as a black male, approximately 6’3″ and 250 pounds.
