CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Ted Denny has announced he running for Montgomery County commissioner, District 2.

Denny retired from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office after 24 years of service, and prior to that he was a Clarksville Police officer for 16 years.

He is a graduate of Austin Peay State University with a degree in criminal justice, a master’s degree in biblical studies from Covington Theological Seminary and a doctorate from Trinity College and Seminary in Evansville, Indiana. He was an adjunct professor at Trinity for 10 years and taught Biblical Studies and nouthetic counseling. Denny is a former radio programming director working at numerous radio stations between Nashville and Clarksville. He is the senior pastor of Bethel Baptist Church, where he has served for 32 years.

He and his wife Patricia have four children.

The Denny campaign will kick off with a Meet and Greet fundraiser at Real Life Church Sango, 3575 Sango Road, on Saturday, Feb. 28, from 5-7 p.m.
