CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Roads have improved across Clarksville, but ice is lingering. With high temperatures staying at or below freezing for the week ahead, ice will hang around, particularly on sidewalks, driveways and parking lots.

“Roadway conditions have greatly improved since yesterday (Monday), but let’s not get ahead of ourselves – motorists still need to use caution,” Clarksville Police said Tuesday morning. “Give yourself extra time to get to your destination, and assume every stop might take a little longer than planned.

“Major roadways are mostly clear, and yes, you can actually see asphalt again – a sure sign of progress. Traffic flow is starting to look more normal; however, there are still some icy patches lurking around, just waiting to humble an overconfident driver,” CPD said.
