CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Five people were injured in two serious crashes in Montgomery County late on New Year’s Eve.

At about 1:51 a.m. Thursday, there was a head-on collision on the entrance ramp to Paul Huff Parkway, according to Clarksville Now news partner Dash 10 Media.

Four people were injured, one flown by LifeFlight helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. At least two others were taken by ambulance to Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville.

Just over an hour later, at 3:22 a.m., a car crashed into a tree in the 2900 block of Rossview Road, according to Dash 10 Media. When the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrived, the driver was conscious and breathing. Extrication was required. The driver was flown by AirEvac helicopter to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
