Update, 4:30 p.m.: The Bypass is back open.
Update, 3 p.m.: The Bypass remains closed in both directions from Vista Lane to Old Ashland City Road.
Update, 12:30 p.m.: The Bypass remains closed. Fort Campbell Boulevard is open and traffic there is back to normal.
Update, 10:05 a.m.: Three vehicles crashed at about 9:50 a.m. on Fort Campbell Boulevard at Eva Drive, according to CPD. Only one northbound lane is open, and motorists are advised to find an alternate route until the roadway can be cleared. The injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – One person was killed when a car crashed with a tractor-trailer Thursday morning on the Bypass.
At about 9:03 a.m., the vehicles crashed on Ashland City Road (US Highway 41A Bypass) near Queens Bluff Way, according to a press release from Clarksville Police spokesman Scott Beaubien.
The Bypass was shut down, and traffic is being diverted. CPD FACT investigators were en route to the scene, and motorists were advised to seek alternate routes until the roadway can be cleared. The roadway is expected to remain closed for an extended period of time.
The Bypass was backed up eastbound from about Vista Lane, and westbound all the way to Madison Street. Westbound traffic is complicated by a crash on Interstate 24, with westbound traffic on Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway backed up to about Memorial Drive, which is also completely backed up. Both Ashland City Road and Madison Street westbound are also backed up.
