CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Police Department has identified the victim of the fatal shooting on Darlene Drive as 31-year-old Nolan Jackson of Memphis.

On Sunday, Oct. 5, at approximately 2 a.m., CPD responded to the area of Darlene Drive after receiving a 911 call about a shooting that had just occurred, according to police spokesman Scott Beaubien. Officers found Jackson at the scene with a gunshot wound. Jackson was transported to Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville by Montgomery County EMS and was pronounced dead a short time later.

On Friday afternoon, CPD announced that, as a result of the ongoing investigation, 22-year-old Shaliyah Tynise Potts, who was with Jackson on the morning of Oct. 5, has been taken into custody and charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery.

“Preliminary findings indicate that both Jackson and Potts were involved in criminal activity that ultimately resulted in Mr. Jackson’s death,” Beaubien said. “The third individual has not been identified at this time, and this is an ongoing investigation.”
