Gladys Ann Foster Gamble, age 79, of Clarksville, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at her home.
She was born in Blawnox, PA, to the late Frank Foster and Gladys Stokes Foster. Gladys was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Gladys was a member at New Providence United Methodist Church. She was a loving military spouse, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Mrs. Gamble also taught English as a second language to military spouses around the world.
Memorial Service will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 18 at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Jeffrey Gamble officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, from 5 p.m. until the hour of service, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gamble is survived by her husband, Abe Gamble; three sons, Guy E. Gamble (Beverly), of West Chicago, IL, Abe Gamble, Jr. (Carol), of Thousand Oaks, CA, and Jeffrey S. Gamble (Connie), of Lafayette, IN; two daughters, Gladys S. Gamble Mitchell (Timothy) and Beth Ann Gamble Smith (David), both of Clarksville; sister, Marion Younkins, of Clinton, PA; grandchildren, Timothy Mitchell (Amanda), Jason Smith (Samantha), Leslie Gamble, Tom Mitchell (Jennifer), David Smith (Kimberly), Guy Gamble, Aryanna Gamble, Joseph Gamble, Kristyn Smith (Sam), Cameron Gamble, Chandler Gamble, Tom Heun (Kelly), and Jimmy Heun; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
