CLARKSVILLE, TN – District Attorney General Robert Nash of the 19th Judicial District (Robertson and Montgomery Counties) has launched an important billboard to raise awareness of the ongoing fentanyl crisis.
October is National Substance Abuse Prevention Month, and this billboard warns families that just one pill of fentanyl can kill. Drivers will see the billboard in Clarksville at 915 Providence Blvd. near Sinclair Drive during the month of October. The billboard also features a phone number to SAMHSA’s free 24-hour hotline where people can seek confidential help with finding local treatment facilities and support groups.
“Fentanyl use and distribution is a dangerous and deadly issue in Montgomery and Robertson Counties,” said Nash. “Drug dealers are mixing fentanyl with other illegal drugs causing the death of family and friends. This can no longer be taken lightly. Death is one away. One pill can kill. It is time to take action and seek help.”
