UPDATE: Woman who was reported missing checks in with police, had moved to another state

Update, 3:45 p.m.: Matavao has been located and is safe, according to CPD. She has moved out of state. After seeing the missing persons reports, she contacted local authorities in her area to verify her well-being.

“We appreciate the community’s assistance in helping us bring this case to a safe resolution,” CPD said.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 32-year-old Alaisea Matavao.

Matavao was last seen in March by her roommate at their apartment on Main Street, according to a CPD news release. The roommate reported her missing on Aug. 18. She told police that Matavao left with her boyfriend, known as “Macc.” The last known contact was a text message the roommate received on April 13.

Matavao is described as 5-foot-10, approximately 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. The photos provided are from her Facebook page, dated October 2024.

If anyone sees Matavao or knows of her whereabouts, please call 911 so officers can check on her welfare. Anyone with information or video footage is asked to contact Detective Atwell at 931-648-0656, ext. 5741.
