CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – “I am still in the honeymoon stage of opening the store,” said Patsy Seay-Dollar of iiEnergy Works Metaphysical, a spot that offers alternative spirituality and healing, in addition to selling items such as herbal candles, crystals, jewelry and tarot card decks.

The store, which is located at 1191E Ft. Campbell Boulevard, had its grand opening in May. It is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

In recent years Seay-Dollar, an artist, began practicing Reiki, a Japanese technique of laying hands on a person to promote that individual’s stress reduction, relaxation and healing. As she got deeper into the study, she decided to open up a store that would offers classes and services in alternative spirituality.

She has as a staff member an “energy worker” who works with Angelic Reiki Energies and accepts appointments daily. Seay-Dollar offers intuitive readings evenings and weekends.

Another teacher is frequent guest Beth Middlecamp, who has studied Reiki energy therapy and is a Melody-certified crystologist. (For those unfamiliar with crystology, it is a type of “gemstone therapy,” according to Seay-Dollar, in which Middlecamp uses crystals and rocks to adjust the energetic balances in a person’s body. She calls it “Chinese medicine with rocks.”)

In the future, the store will offer “flame readings” by Janna Phillips, a woman that Seay-Dollar calls “a multi-talented intuitive reader and teacher.” Matt King, the owner of Appalachian Culture Revival who is certified in Stress Release with BioEnergetic Therapies, will come to the store at the end of July for a lecture and services in BioEnergetics.

“There is so much going on,” Seay-Dollar says, noting that the store regularly offers New Mood Meditation classes along with a weekly book club and a “Finder’s Keepers” class to teach children about crystals.
Seay-Dollar works with shoppers to find products they might need and keeps those in stock. She said she tries to offer something for everyone.

“I am always open to have people come in and offer to teach classes here,” she said.

She also noted that people come into the store not sure what to expect. But once they arrive, she said, they discover they can learn about alternative healing and other topics “without fear of judgment.”

“The iiEnergy Works Metaphysical shop is very special,” Seay-Dollar said. “It’s a gathering place for people to just be human, and spiritual, all in the same breath. Our goal? To offer a ‘nurture your mind, body and spirit’ experience.”
