Clarksville Montgomery County Regional Airport Authority named Governing Body of the Year

The Tennessee Aeronautics Commission (TAC) and TDOT Aeronautics Division recently awarded the Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Airport Authority with the “Governing Body of the Year” award at the 2025 Tennessee Aviation Association Conference held at the Embassy Hotel Conference Center in Murfreesboro, TN.

CLARKSVILLE, TN − The Tennessee Aeronautics Commission (TAC) and TDOT Aeronautics Division recently awarded the Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Airport Authority with the “Governing Body of the Year” award at the 2025 Tennessee Aviation Association Conference held at the Embassy Hotel Conference Center in Murfreesboro, TN.

The Governing Body of the Year award recognizes the Airport Governing Body that in the estimation of voters contributed the most to the positive promotion of their airport and airport planning/improvements for the previous calendar year in the State of Tennessee.

“We are deeply honored to receive this esteemed recognition,” said Sammy Stuard, Chairman of the Clarksville Regional Airport Authority. “Our dedicated and skilled team works tirelessly each day to ensure we maintain a top-tier airport experience. We are also grateful for the ongoing support from Montgomery County and the City of Clarksville, as their commitment helps make the airport a welcoming gateway to our vibrant community.”

“It’s an honor for the Clarksville Regional Airport and its all-volunteer board to receive one of the State of Tennessee’s top three awards, recognizing their leadership and accomplishments over the past year. Recognition like this is not easily earned and would not be possible without the support of our city and county local officials. The airport authority and its board remain committed to the citizens of Clarksville-Montgomery County and supporting continued job growth, expansion, and tourism,” said John Patterson, Executive Director at Clarksville Regional Airport.
