Ray H. Snapp, Jr., of Clarksville, TN, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2024, with members of his loving family beside him.

Ray was born in Winchester, KY. He served in the U.S. Army for 26 years, serving in Korea and Vietnam. Subsequently he worked for American Paper and Twine for 21 years.

Ray was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He was known for his jovial personality, kindness, humor, intelligence, and strong work ethic. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching westerns, football games, and University of Kentucky basketball games.

Ray is survived by his current wife, Frances Snapp, sister-in-law, Judy Henry, children: Kathy Young (Jim), Lisa O’Neal (Sam), Brandon Di Paolo Harrison (Ozzie), and Charlsie Harrison; grandchildren: Erin Maddox, Amanda Gray, Shana McIntosh (Joe), Cayce Patterson, Madelyn Harrison, Isabella Di Paolo Harrison, and Ava Danaher; and great grandchildren: Emma and Charlotte Patterson, Austen Gurnon; Jillian Carter, Dalton Gray, Dakota Gray, and Emmy Patterson; Family friends: Jack Cawthon, Nina Kuzina, Celia Aguilar, and Suzan.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Jo (Henry) Snapp, and brothers Eugene and William Snapp.

A funeral service with full military honors will be held at 1:00 on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with full military honors. The family will receive visitors from 10:00-12:00 at Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home, 1510 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.
