Lois Griffin Durisko, of Morristown, TN, died June 20, 2014.

She was born in Stewart County, TN on August 26, 1921 to Willie F. and Lillie Scott Griffin. She moved to Clarksville, TN in 1946 when she married her husband, George Edward Durisko, who died in 1967 in a pedestrian accident.

Mrs. Durisko worked for Drs. Tosh, Shipley, Boyd, and Montgomery in New Providence before going to work at Austin Peay State University. She was employed in the Post Office in the Student Center for 20 years retiring in 1989.

She was a current member of First Baptist Church-Clarksville from April 1947, active until 2006 when she moved to South Carolina for health reasons.

She is survived by her three daughters: Barbara Hayes and husband, Bill, of Morristown, TN; Lynda Sullivan and her husband, Shelby, of Chuckey, TN; and Becky Hunter of Kingsport, TN; seven grandchildren: Andrew Hayes (Mariane) of SC, Michael Christoph of CO, Dana McManus of SC, Patrick Sullivan (Stephanie) of GA, Dave Christoph (Lora) of TN, Douglas Sullivan (Daphne) of GA, and Christopher Hunter (Bailey) of GA. and 3 great-grand children: Ashley and Zachary Hayes, and Olivia Jackson.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Durisko was preceded in death by her parents, 6 sisters: Lucy Howell, Tishie King, Marie Griffin, Bea Bremer, Ruth Wright, and Elizabeth Mathis; 1 brother: Millard Griffin; 2 grand daughters Sheila Sullivan and Katie Beth Hunter.

Funeral Service will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 22 at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Clarksville, TN.
