CLARKSVILLE, TN − The Austin Peay State University Symphony Orchestra will present Sunday Symphony with music from mid-20th century Americana by William Grant Still (Symphony No. 3, “Sunday Symphony”) and Aaron Copland (An Outdoor Overture) under the baton of Dr. Jacob Aaron Schnitzer and graduate assistant Ariadna Benitez Talavera.
The event will be happening at the Mabry Concert Hall, 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 24.
The concert will additionally feature APSU violin and cello faculty members Dr. Emily Hanna Crane and Dr. Meghan Berindean as soloists in Mark O’Connor’s bluegrass Double Concerto, percussion faculty Dr. Andrew Richardson wielding an axe and match in Raven Chacon’s avant-garde American Ledger No. 1, and award-winning APSU folk ensemble Fiddlin’ Peayple (last seen on the F&M Bank Arena stage with MoneyBagg Yo).
