The new class of weight loss drugs has helped people across the country drop dramatic amounts of weight – and along the way resolve and prevent serious health problems related to obesity. But the costs have kept many people from having access to these life-changing drugs.

Vitality Goals Health and Wellness is seeking to change that.

Co-owners Deneshia Clayton and Jamie Pruitt are family nurse practitioners in Clarksville who had seen the benefits of the weight loss drugs themselves: Pruitt had lost 50 pounds and Clayton 60. “I’m not saying we’re skinny minis – we’re still thick girls,” Clayton said with a laugh.

The two were working in primary care together, and they also saw how expensive these weight loss medications were to patients, and how many couldn’t afford them. They also saw that patients needed advice and didn’t always get that opportunity, either.

“We figure out what will work for each person,” Clayton said. “What sets us apart is we work closely with patients to make sure their wellness is fully taken care of – mind, body and spirit.”

And they make it affordable, with payment plans to make sure people can afford their services, with no credit check.

How it works

The weight loss medications they offer are injections of semaglutide and tirzepatide, which aid in weight loss and suppressing the appetite. These drugs are an effective, non-invasive obesity treatment to help patients lose weight and keep it off long-term, Clayton said.

The program at Vitality combines the medically supervised administration of weight loss shots with diet and exercise coaching for a healthier lifestyle. It can include injections of vitamin B12, vitamin D3, and LipoStat Plus to increase the effectiveness of the weight loss medications, help boost metabolism, and provide an energy boost.

Vitality Goals also offers botox injections, hormone replacement and vitamin replacement, and they have plans to expand to offer IV hydration.
