CLARKSVILLE, TN − The Dr. Atlas Foundation, founded by boxing trainer and motivational figure Teddy Atlas, has made a $2,000 donation to TKO (The Kindness Objective), furthering their shared mission to combat bullying. This contribution will provide essential boxing equipment and gear, empowering TKO to support and uplift victims of bullying through self-defense training and confidence-building.
TKO, a nonprofit organization founded by Melissa Marquais in Clarksville, is dedicated to combating bullying in schools, workplaces and communities by promoting empathy, kindness and self-confidence, and by empowering individuals through MMA (mixed martial arts) training and self-defense skills. By integrating boxing training into their programs, TKO aims to equip kids with both physical and mental skills to defend themselves and build their confidence.
Coach Remy, owner of Hand Game in Clarksville, volunteered to teach the kids in TKO’s “Knock-Out Bullying” program how to box and defend themselves. The response to this program was so overwhelming that TKO faced a shortage of essential gear, such as gloves, pads and mouthguards.
