CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A woman has been arrested for aggravated assault after stabbing a 19-year-old in the chest.

According to a police report, officers conducted a welfare check Saturday at a home on Ringgold Rd. after receiving a 911 hang-up call. When police arrived they found the victim standing on the porch holding a towel to his chest wound.

The victim and another witness said Stephanie Eden Panama Kinnell, 25, had been in an argument with her boyfriend and punched him in the face. The victim stepped in to stop the couple from fighting, and Kinnell allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the chest.

Witnesses said after the stabbing Kinnell ran from the scene. She was found at a nearby residence telling the people at the home that the “military was looking for her.” When officers approached her, she admitted she had stabbed the victim and told police to take her to jail.

Officers noted Kinnell appeared to be extremely intoxicated. She was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, aggravated domestic assault, and violation of condition of release.
