CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Kirkwood High quarterback Miles Reding has been named the Clarksville Now Player of the Week after throwing for 296 passing yards and five touchdowns against the Montgomery Central Indians this past Friday night.
Despite having limited practice time on the field last week due to the heat, Reding wasted no time getting the scoring started against the Indians. The sophomore quarterback threw for four touchdowns passes in the first half alone. Beyond that, Reding distributed the ball around to the Cobras’ wealth of weapons at receiver for an efficient air raid attack.

“Miles is a great team-player who studies the game and looks to make his teammates better. He has also done a much better job of taking care of the football,” said Kirkwood High head coach Chad Watson. “He did a really good job distributing the football to different guys. We have had eight different guys catch passes in two games and five different guys with a touchdown reception.”
Reding completed 14 out of his 19 passing attempts against Montgomery Central for 296 passing yards and five touchdowns.
For the quarterback, it’s a showing of the consistent work he and his team have put in. “This award means a lot to me,” Reding told Clarksville Now. “It is one of the first achievements to come of the hard work me and this team have put in.”
